Kostr, Reimagined: A Simpler, Smarter Coaster

At Treleaf, thoughtful design is at the heart of everything we make. This week, we’re excited to reintroduce one of our customer favorites—Kostr, our signature leaf-shaped plant pot coaster—with a cleaner, more sustainable update.

Our original Kostr featured a two-layer design using cork and Piñatex® (pineapple leather), chosen for their natural textures and eco-friendly appeal. While we loved the concept, over time we found that simplifying the material makeup of the product could offer more benefits—not only for our customers, but for our planet.

Why the change?

After gathering feedback and taking a closer look at our production process, we decided to go back to basics. The revised Kostr is now made entirely of high-quality cork, a material that’s naturally water-resistant, biodegradable, and perfectly suited to protect your surfaces from moisture and scratches.

This move allowed us to:

• Reduce production costs

• Maintain the beauty and functionality you expect from Treleaf

The result is a more accessible product that’s just as elegant, practical, and planet-conscious as ever.
